Trek West 5 - On Hiatus
So apparently Joey loves to go on vacation. Who knew? And since he is the defacto editor (and is in another state) we are going to be taking a few weeks off for him to unwind with his wife and family. But he shall return refreshed and ready to go in about a week.

Podcast 11: Rapping Season 2 - minus the rapping
We have come to the end of the second season of Star Trek the Next Generation and our egos continue to swell. This was a vast improvement on season 1 and both Joey & I really enjoyed the episodes which the length of the previous podcasts will bear out. Since we know you enjoy listening to us as much as we enjoy talking, we decided to do a few lists and recaps to point out some of the highlights as we did with season 1. Enjoy.
This podcast covers episodes 20-22 of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 2. As this is the end of Season 2 there is no special guest.
Various topics discussed in this podcast include:
"Probing" through space
Joey has no faith in anyone
Suspended Animation: Is it possible?
Roy Brocksmith = Good Actor
Peter has to restrain Joey as he geeks out over B5
"The Urge to Compete"
Joey says Peter was right
Geordi is the only one who can look out a window
We Hate Shades of Grey (the episode, not the color)

Trek West 5: Calling all comments
Trek West 5 is usually about 2 weeks ahead of their listeners. By that I mean, we record a podcast on a Friday but it is about a week and a half before we get around to editing it and posting it up. We would like to have more interaction with our listeners who have actually watched the episodes before and want to be a part of the conversation.
So having said that; We are going to be discussing episodes 1-4 of season 3 of Star Trek the Next Generation this Friday. If you have seen these episodes before and have a question or topic you would like us to discuss, please comment to this post or send an email to trekwest5@thehomestarmy.com. We would love to be able to talk about what is on your minds.

Well, technically we have only been doing this for a couple of months, but the lack of sleep we have been going through and the length of these podcasts lately, makes it kind of feel like ten years. As we hope the trend will continue this podcast has been reduced in time to a slightly more manageable amount. We do have one thing we need your help on though. We have started doing shorter summaries for each episode. This podcast utilizes the shorter variety. Please let us know which you prefer in the comments.

Podcast 9: Daddy Issues
Alright, well we know that podcast 8 was a lot to try and chew on. Podcast 9 is only about 2 hours this time!! And podcast 10 is shaping up to be even less than that. Lots of fun was had in this podcast, especially our conversation about the episode The Royale - truly one of the dumbest episodes ever. We also would like to introduce the brand new Trek West 5 wiki. Anyone who is interested in helping us document this wiki, is very much appreciated. Because it is very sparse at the moment.
This podcast covers episodes 11-15 of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 2. Our "Special" guest for this podcast is Aaron.
Various topics discussed in this podcast include:
Product testing
The Enterprise computer: a Microsoft Operating System?
I can't believe we spent so much time discussing The Royale
Joey compliments Aaron
Ammonia Tornado - new mixed drink?
Atlanta Nights - classing up the internet
Joey is a bully
Time hurts squared
Commissioning Jared: the meaning of the story of Icarus
Aaron & Joey discuss their father
Triped Aliens = Fun
Data and his "emotions"
