Podcast 17: It's A Twofer

[ Another summary by Joey, due to network outages afflicting Peter.] After two consecutive weeks of just Peter and myself, we decided to take the fate of the podcast in our own four hands and attempt something no podcast has ever done before - two guests AT THE SAME TIME! OK, so maybe someone else has actually done it before, but we were both very excited to welcome back the self-proclaimed 'Father' of Trek West 5, Peter's Friend Jon Madsen of J.R. watches Star Trek for the first time, as well as our favorite Deviant Artist, Anne's sister Katie. Of course, with two guests, we found twice as much to talk about, so the final tally for this episode is about 10 minutes shy of 3 hours.

This podcast covers episodes 21-24 of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 3.

Various topics discussed in this podcast include:
More Things Joey Hates: Gene Roddenberry
    Star Trek:TNG and Flux Capacitors
    Holo-Addiction
Jon proclaims himself the Father of TW5

    Collections
    Joey and Jon Argue
    Vulcans, Vulcans, Vulcans
Jon teaches us about the Ferengi and Vulcan written languages - follow the links to see examples
    Pursuing Women
Peter reveals why he's still single

Podcast 16: Maybe we should kidnap a listener?

We're running a little bit behind because Pete can't tell the difference between a video file and the MP3s of our podcast, so tonight the summary is brought to you by Joey!

This is the second consecutive podcast where it was just Pete and I - we had really hoped to have Jared back on for this podcast, but time did not allow - and, as a result, you'll hear at least 2 pleas from us that you either come on the show, or send us comments, or even just send us an email telling everyone how bad you hate Pete! I think we'd read just about anything "on the air" at this point.

This podcast covers episodes 17-20 of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 3. Pete's Friend Jon Madsen repeated his previous 'verbal gymnastics', sending some notes over IM that we recorded - see, I told you we'd read just about anything!

Various topics discussed in this podcast include:
    Klingons have no honor
    Animal experimentation: wrong or right?
    Anarchy: what's the hype?
When is kidnapping mistreatment? Sometimes God Has a Kid's Face
Horga'hn (pronounced whore-gone) doesn't do what you might expect!
Pete is fascinated with the portrayal of men's nipples on television
    Joey wouldn't trust future-Pete
Another plea to listeners to provide new points of view
Joey ignores his voices for the good of humanity
Would you want to read minds?
    Co-dependent enablers

Podcast 15: Yar, she's back!

Well as much as I love to go on and on about how horrible Tasha Yar is, her character actually put in a pretty good performance in "Yesterday's Enterprise." Denise Crosby reprises her role as Tasha Yar for a very good time disruption episode. Perhaps absence made our hearts grow fonder for her, or she actually managed to do a good job. Either way, I think everyone can agree, Wesley Crusher needs to be smacked in the face.

This podcast covers episodes 13-16 of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 3. While there was no special guest for this podcast, My Friend Jon Madsen did send us some notes over IM during the recording. So our thanks to him.

Various topics discussed in this podcast include:
    Curing sleep
    Compassion
Guilty until proven Innocent - Why not?
New tv show idea: Star Trek JAG
    Prune Juice: The Edible Enema
    Joey doesn't understand time
    The robots are taking over!
Joey doesn't like touching people: People Everywhere Rejoice!
    Emotional awareness is a malfunction

Podcast 14: Fully compliant with the 19th Amendment

Daring to go where no Star Trek themed podcast (that we know of) has gone before, we decided that we needed to spice up the show by inviting a woman to be on with us. Frankly we were a little worried about what would happen. But we ended up both being pleasantly surprised. Our "Special" guest for this podcast is Anne. While hardly to be considered a fan of Star Trek, Anne had seen some episodes in her childhood and was at least familiar with the basic story. Our intent with bringing her on the podcast was to hopefully get a female perspective as well as spice things up.

This podcast covers episodes 9-12 of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 3.

Various topics discussed in this podcast include:
General Custer and Joey won the Civil War
Joey keeps his refrigerator at 62 deg
    Anne agrees with Peter
    Let's make some Super Soldiers
    Joey: A slave to soda
Shakespeare and Star Trek: A perfect marriage
    Defectors: Patriot or Traitor?
    Terrorists vs. Patriots
    Giving in to torture
    Anne likes Star Trek TNG

Podcast 13: Now with limited editing!

So it turns out that Joey and I are getting much better at this podcasting thing. There were only 7 items that needed to be edited in this podcast. But sadly this is the best thing I could come up with as far as an intro to the podcast for this week. So it looks like I still need some work in that department.

This podcast covers episodes 5-8 of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 3. Our "Special" guest for this podcast is Pete's friend Jon Madsen.

Various topics discussed in this podcast include:
    Jon still hates kids
    Jon only has bad dates
    Anti-matter makes Peter's head hurt
    G'Kar is in Star Trek!!
Blind guys fall into open pits
    Worf is a racist

Podcast 12: TW5 - Not cancelled after first season!

And we're back! Well actually we recorded this podcast the week before Joey took off on his fun-filled family vacation. We chose not to post it until now because Joey has this very strange compunction to want to call this the beginning of season 2 for TW5. I don't know. I think it will be too confusing and way too arbitrary. I mean, who draws the line where? Anyway, feel free to throw your two cents in if you are so compelled.

This podcast covers episodes 1-4 of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 3.

Various topics discussed in this podcast include:
Peter tells Joey to shut up
Baseball finally ends in the 20th Century
Joey serenades Peter with the theme from "The Love Boat"
Computers do what you tell them to do - nothing more!
    Joey kisses like a computer
    What would you kill for?
Religion in the Federation (includes listener feedback from Chris)
